Randall David Johnson is a left-handed starting pitcher currently playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
He is noted for his stature; at 6 feet 10 inches, he was the tallest player in the history of MLB, until the 1992 debut of Eric Hillman who was also 6 feet 10 inches, but both were surpassed by the 2002 debut of Jon Rauch, who is 6 feet 11 inches. Johnson is known for having one of the most dominant fastballs in the game, regularly approaching, and occasionally even exceeding, 100 mph during his prime. He has won the Cy Young Award five times, second only to Roger Clemens' seven.
