Derek Fisher is an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. He is one of the most well-respected players in the league and was voted President of the NBA Players Association. Fisher was the twenty-fourth pick in the first-round by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1996 NBA Draft. He has won three NBA Championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. During the three championship run, Fisher was the third leading scorer on the team behind teammates Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. He has also been the color commentator for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA since July 1, 2008. Fisher was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and is represented by agent Rob Pelinka.
