Carlos Rogers is an American football cornerback. He played college football at Auburn University. He was the recipient of the 2004 Jim Thorpe Award for the top defensive back in college football. He returned to Auburn for the 2005 season but did not repeat as the Jim Thorpe Award winner largely because quarterbacks avoided throwing the ball to his side of the field because he was so dominant.
He was picked 9th overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2005 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Rogers played in twelve games, made 43 tackles, caught two interceptions and forced two fumbles.
